| And this is what the rolled-out futon in a ryokan looks like. Matthew is already trying to make himself comfortable there. I found the bed so stone-hard, though, that I still felt back pain two days later, when we'd switched to normal, western-style beds again. Somehow, the Japanese seem to be pretty masochistic.
