One of key places of interest in Japan every tourist ought to visit is – to my mind – the supermarket. The only things that'll seem familiar from back home are fruits and sushi. Everything else looks like a delicatessen on another planet. Those tentacles you see on the picture were on display in a normal freezer compartment. The Japanese apparently snap up red tentacles like we would buy chicken wings. Purchasing beverages in a supermarket was, for us, like a lottery each time. Sometimes those drinks tasted so appallingly awful that I had to give them to Matthew as a gift.
