| In the midst of all those souvenir stands and Seven-Elevens (yes, they do have those, too), you sometimes come across a toilet lid sale. The Japanese really fancy those sci-fi-type lids - to the point where they're paying 52.800 Yen = 500 Dollars (see picture) to get one. In general, the Japanese pay at least twice the sum you'd find reasonable, even for mundane stuff.
